Underwriter (Finance)

WVBK is hiring a Mortgage Loan Underwriter. This position is remote (must live in OR, WA, CO, AZ, CA, TX or ID) and equipment will be provided. Duties include: underwrites residential mortgage files in compliance with HUD,VA, Rural Housing, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and various other investor requirements. Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of recent Mortgage Underwriting Experience (FHA, VA and Conventional) with strong agency guideline knowledge
• Must have residential underwriting experience within the last 6 months for a retail correspondent lender
• Additional knowledge of down payment assistance programs such as; Homestart, Homeready, Homepossible and Idaho Housing desired
• DE, SAR and LAPP certifications ; experience with USDA is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of ATR/QM Requirements
• Proven knowledge of Mortgage Insurance Guidelines and rates
• Working knowledge of LOS Encompass
