Business Intelligence Analyst (236) (Information Technology)
Work on complex and cross-functional business intelligence and data warehousing solutions, collaborating effectively with IS and other Corporate departments, business operations, facility staff and other stakeholders.
Act as a liaison between the business and the technical teams to facilitate requirements gathering sessions, set expectations and coordinate with team members on design and delivery of analytics solutions.
Develop automated reports and dashboards using various BI tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, De Facto, Crystal Reports etc.
Develop test plans, use cases, scenarios and scripts to ensure technical product solutions meet standards and align with business requirements.
Provide user education of business intelligence and analytical applications to assist in ensuring access to data with the goal of promoting self-service and reduced reliance on technical specialists in order to obtain data.
Act as an authority on BI tools, technology platform and related systems to handle queries about clinical and business data/analytical solutions.
Perform thorough data quality and profiling activities to ensure that information delivered from BI solutions is reliable and of consistently high quality.
Use all internal and external resources at his/her disposal to stay up to date with new BI/analytics trends.
Develop a high-level understanding of BI tool architecture, functions, features and capabilities to guide users with data discovery and analysis.
Participate in the development and maintenance of organization wide data architecture, data management standards and governance structure using technology as well as process expertise.
Establish key relationships at the facilities and corporate level to deliver effective and efficient solutions for data/analytics across the organization.
Performs data dashboard and other business product design, development, testing, consulting, and analytics. Performs a variety of analytical work and reporting.
Gathers, analyzes, and presents information and data from internal and/or external sources.
Develops data dashboard and other business product training needs assessments, and training programs. Provides training to staff and external organizations on data dashboards and other business products.
Designs, develops and generates reports and queries using advanced report creation tools such as SQL, Tableau or Alteryx.
Represents the organization with the public, external organizations, and at conferences and trade shows.
Prepares reports and presentation materials; conducts presentations and demonstrations to individuals, groups, organizations, and at conferences.
Travel to remote work sites, conferences, or external organizations for business related activities as requested. Travel may span several consecutive days/nights.
Effectively diagnose and troubleshoot issues with data dashboards and other business products.
Prepare documentation for data dashboards and other business product and/or process improvements.
What I bring
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Management, Information Systems or related.
Class C Driving License
Five years' experience in Business/Data Warehouse, Reporting/Dashboard development, Business Intelligence, Analytics or related field.
Knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of electronic health record systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or related field. Experience working with County information systems such as EHRs and an understanding of county processes. Data reporting and dashboard development. Preferred
