Project Manager (Information Technology)
Collaborate with the VP of Construction Sales and various operational units within the company to ensure the successful delivery of our finished projects to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Proficient in multi-tasking, organization, time management and detail oriented.
Achieve personal and team sales revenue goals by contributing to the sales efforts.
Assist all team members as required to ensure that the deadlines on the Bid Calendar are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Analyze and interpret bid documents to ensure that the proper scope is accounted for through thorough investigation of ALL plans, specs, RFI, Bid Forms and addendum.
Solicit material and subcontractor quotes as required.
Perform accurate onscreen take-offs in determined estimating software with clear and concise annotations as necessary.
Create accurate estimates based on detailed takeoffs created from landscape designs with accurate material costs, subcontractor quotes and accurate production rates.
Ensure all estimates are ready for internal review 2 days prior to the bid date.
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of assigned projects - contract, scope of work, addenda, change orders, schedule, billing, points of contact, etc.
Setup 'new project' packets and maintain relevant documentation in an organized manner - contracts, construction documents, specifications, submittals, key vendor quotes, change orders, schedules, communication plans, billing, etc.
Identify potential risks to the project and provide proactive and effective solutions. Communicate this information in a timely manner to all relevant parties.
Schedule and perform efficient Preconstruction Meetings as required to ensure the correct Scope of Work is defined, the proper sequencing is established, and overall schedule is agreed upon.
Coordinate with our internal operations and subcontractors, while maintaining proactive communication with customers to ensure exceptional project management.
Schedule subcontractors, order necessary materials, manage submittals, and handle change order requests.
Perform regular site visits of assigned projects. Bi-weekly for active projects, weekly for pending-start projects. Maintain consistent communication with the GC's Project Managers and Superintendents on schedule, site issues, potential risks, as well as overall status of the project.
Perform and document internal Quality Control Audits on projects as required or directed. Ensure that the site is clean, well-organized and company safety practices are in effect.
Manage billing, process accurate pay applications, and update the construction schedule.
Complete all internal and external closeout documents - punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, waivers, etc.
Follow up on accounts receivable in a timely manner as required.
Operate a company vehicle safely and competently in accordance with company safety policies, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing the operation of such vehicles.
Assist as directed in the training of all new team members.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
1 year of experience in the landscape construction industry
Background in customer relationship management and value-based selling, contributing to achieving sales goals as a part of the Landscape Construction Sales Team
Proven track record in successful task management
Excellent communication skills, a positive "Can-Do" attitude, and a strong team-oriented mindset
Special Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Skill in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong command of Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint, as well as ProEst, Aspire and other software
Consistent and reliable attendance
Ability to adapt
Proficiency in effective problem-solving techniques
Capability to handle challenging situations with resilience
Strong desire and ability to contribute value whenever possible
Exceptional communication skills
Proficiency in hands-on task management
Basic computer literacy
