Postbaccalaureate Fellowship - Biochemistry and Microbiology Division (Biotech)
The Biochemistry and Microbiology Division of New England Biolabs is inviting applications for a Postbaccalaureate Fellow to perform research on bacterial antiphage immunity in the Eaglesham Lab. In this role, you will identify host factors required for phage infection and discover bacterial immune systems that restrict phage replication. Successful applicants may come from a broad range of biological science backgrounds. Research will be undertaken in an open and collaborative environment where oral communication of ideas and publication of results are expected.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform research to understand mechanisms of phage resistance in bacteria
Communicate discoveries to the NEB and scientific communities through oral presentations and peer-reviewed publications
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in in biological science
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to work both independently or collaboratively
Strong interpersonal skills
Enthusiasm for learning new things
