Strong mechanical background required.
Ability to weld, preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.
Experience using scanning and diagnostics tools such as ALLDATA preferred.
Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions.
Ability to be self-directed, team-oriented and work with minimum supervision required.
Ability to climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations required.
Excellent attendance record required.
Demonstrated ability to work safely around all equipment and personnel required.
Good written and verbal communication skills required.
Team player, leadership and good interpersonal skills required.
The ability to work call outs and weekends required.
A Light Vehicle Mechanic is responsible for the follow:
Maintaining a light vehicle fleet primarily comprised of Ford and Chevrolet and Bobcat equipment as needed.
Responsible for inventory and parts ordering.
Preventive maintenance scheduling, conducting preventive maintenance, field calls, welding, tire work, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing all aspects of light vehicles.
Addressing more complex repairs to engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems.
At times, may be required to work with other maintenance groups such as dust collectors and secondary crusher maintenance.
