Maintenance Mechanic III (Maintenance)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform work in accordance with quality systems, including Food Safety and GMPs.
Maintain excellent attendance to avoid production interruptions.
Work safely and report safety concerns promptly.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Dress Code, and Housekeeping Guidelines.
Utilize and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Replace or maintain machine components such as motors, gears, valves, and sprockets.
Wire electrical panels and field components.
Set up and adjust machine timing for optimal performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and material quality issues.
Collaborate with departments including Engineering, Machine Shop, Parts Room, Welding, and Service.
Provide support at other facilities as needed. (Machine Shop, Olson, North Plant, etc.)
Other duties may be assigned as required by position.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
1 year of general work experience preferred.
Skills and Requirements:
Mechanically inclined with experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to work in high-temperature environments exceeding 100°F.
Familiarity with complex machinery (industrial equipment, automobiles, farm equipment).
Strong understanding of assembly drawings and technical documents (2D and 3D).
Training (Required Prior to Starting):
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Food Safety protocols.
Proper lifting techniques.
PPE usage.
Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO).
Safety procedures for machinery and tools (e.g., band saw, drill).
Language and Reasoning Skills:
Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and technical documents.
Apply common sense to solve problems in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Engage in walking, standing, climbing, and other physical activities.
Work Environment
Exposure to hot conditions.
Moderate to high noise levels where hearing protection is required.
Possible exposure to dust, gas, fumes, and/or chemicals.
A focus on safety, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.
Shift and Schedule: 8-hour shifts with overtime and weekend availability required. Must be able to work all shifts.
