Overview The Director, AI Architect plans, designs, performs the implementation of AI infrastructures and tools, educates users, optimizing AI technology integration to transform business processes and drive innovation effectively and ethically. The position will act as a project manager and be hands-on with system configurations, development, operations, and user education. Responsibilities
Propose AI strategic adoption plans aligning with business goals.
Evaluate and propose appropriate AI technologies, frameworks, and tools.
Design AI architecture and implement solutions ensuring scalability, efficiency, measurability, and security.
Identify and address challenges related to AI implementation, ensuring smooth and effective integration.
Review logs to report tool usage and suggest enhancements.
Develop education plans and educate users for effective and secure use of AI solutions.
Draft AI related policies, procedures, and user support documents.
Take on project manager role for both IT and business led projects, define requirements, design, implement, and operate. Provide rollout support for end users including user training sessions.
Manage vendors; develop RFPs and compare proposals, review contracts, manage licenses and fees.
Transfers technical and operational knowledge to Help Desk and Enterprise Services when rolling out new solutions or changes to ensure smooth transition.
Continuously stay updated on new features and advancements in AI technologies, as well as regulations related to privacy and data residency.
Supervisory
This is a hands-on position, and it will not have any direct reports.
Minimum Job Requirements Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
A minimum of ten (10) years of overall professional IT experience with a minimum of five (5) years in a project manager role.
Hands-on experience with system configurations and development.
Extensive solution architecture experience in Microsoft Office 365, Azure platform, and Copilot.
Ability to author formal policies, project management deliverables, end user communications and system specifications and operations documents
IT experience in pharmaceutical or other FDA-regulated industry desired.

Proven record of quality, compliance and delivery.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in effectively communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Self-starter, problem solver, self-motivated.
Project management experience.
Team-oriented, but also able to work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements
Experience working in a global organization is preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 5% of the year.
Must live a commutable distance to our US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park, NJ. Office presence required at least 2-3 days per week.
