Represents the bank in processing various types of transactions for customers. Balances cash daily. Answers customer inquiries pertaining to various services. Makes customer referrals. Influences the overall efficiency and service level of the retail services area. Prior expeirence in a retail environment with cash handling responsibilities, or prior banking experience is highly preferred.
General Qualifications
Knowledge: High school graduate with familiarity of the Bank's products and services. Completion of coursework or training in bank operations, regulatory and compliance, is preferred. Marketing and sales knowledge beneficial for making referrals and cross-selling bank products and services, is preferred..
Experience: A minimum of one year of cash handling experience in a retail environment with proven math aptitude, is preferred. Previous experience with personal computer input and retrieval is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency with calculator and personal computer is preferred. Well-developed human relations skills, ability to work in pressure situations under close supervision, and general administrative skills are necessary. Multi-tasking skills are preferred.
Scope of Decisions and Authority: Upon completion of training, will be responsible for cash drawer of $7,500 and may issue bank checks up to $5,000. Customer Service Representative has a restricted check cashing limit. Failure to cash checks for qualified Bank customers, or cashing checks without determining the financial responsibility of the customer could result in negative business impact. Work is performed following established policies and procedures.
ADA Requirements: Vision, hearing, speech, concentration, learning, thinking, interaction with others, the ability to exercise self-control, the ability to work under stressful conditions, particularly in customer relations are necessary. Must possess a valid NC Drivers' License.
