Engineer - Conrad Los Angeles (Finance)
Located in the most exciting state-of-the-art development in DTLA, this luxurious 28-story hotel has over 300 rooms, a spa, 16,000 square foot rooftop with a pool deck, 12,000 square feet of event space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. In this role as an Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel.
The ideal candidate will have basic experience in maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC and carpentry preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and carpentry. Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment. Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools. Basic English language communication and mathematical skills in order to communicate with coworkers, fully comprehend job assignments, and perform accurate simple arithmetic functions. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to work a full shift (8 hours) walking and standing with or without reasonable accommodations. Ability to bend, stoop, walk and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
What will I be doing?
• Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical HVAC and Kitchen Equipment systems and any other related equipment.
• Verify completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of house spaces, and grounds. Verify completion of all repairs, replacement, and renovation projection to offices and employee work areas.
• Monitors all third-party vendors as it relates to property maintenance.
• Assist such painting and upholsterers, groundskeepers,electrical, plumbing, carpentry and RPM.
• Adhere to allhotel-required purchasing policies and controls, including, but not limited to, all outside contractor bids, budgets, and schedules. Follow prescribed safety procedures for personnel and equipment by the company and OSHA
• Maintain effective Energy Management and Preventative Maintenance programs and conduct special training for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel.
• Inform theDirector of Property Operations and hotel department heads on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure, related systems and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems. Access and input information into hotel systems to generate reports.
• Organizing department by creating daily checklist.
• Any and all duties assigned by management.

The hourly rate is $33.00 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
