Sales Manager (CPW) (Finance)
REPORTS TO: CPW Director
OVERVIEW: This is a Full Time, 40 hour per week position based out of CPWs offices. Typical shifts are Monday through Friday, 8am 4pm. Evening and weekend availability as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop sales strategy by customer channel grocery, restaurants, cafes/coffee shops and food service through sales trend analysis. Identify growth opportunities with current and potential customers.
Establish annual customer relationship plan to understand customer needs and how CPW can provide unparalleled customer service
Communicate customer feedback and opportunities to Buyers, Sales Associates, and Operations team to optimize operations and service to help build a customer centric culture that focus on pro-actively seeking feedback to find ways to optimize and drive sales
Identifying and onboarding potential new customers and products.
Maintain historical perspective on the marketplace to analyze and predict future trends and customer behavior
Partner with Purchasing to develop pricing and promotion strategy. Work with Purchasing and Operations to manage inventory of promotional and high-volume items.
Independently manage negotiations with customers based on margin goals, which may include providing volume discounts or other agreements.
Supervise, train, and motivate the sales staff to make proactive decisions in all their communications with customers: relationship building, problem solving, building new custom programs
Develop sales training tools and outbound sales materials to highlight CPW's services and points of difference
Establish and maintain internal customer database management system to track all customer interactions
Build a customer centric culture that focus on proactively seeking feedback to find ways to optimize and drive sales
Provide consistent and respectful customer service to team members, vendors and customers.
Ensure timely response to internal customer questions and concerns.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Computer literacy: Microsoft Office, ERP/WMS.
At least 6 years proven sales and management experience, preferably in produce.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
Solutions-oriented problem solving mindset.
Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards.
Demonstrated ability to work with customers and coworkers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Ability to work with TCCP to create an inclusive environment where all are welcomed.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES
This job operates in a food cold storage environment and in an office setting. Extended periods of standing and periods of time sitting using a computer or other devices are common.
Occasional work in a refrigerated environment, down to 34 degrees F
Occasional lifting to 40 lbs.

Observes safety and security procedures such as Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Material Safety Data (MSD) sheets, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Emergency Evacuations and Building Security; Reports potentially unsafe conditions and injuries: near miss/incidents/accidents; Uses and cares for company equipment and materials properly.
