Delhi Post Acute is seeking a motivated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our dedicated team. As a Dietary Aide, you will assist with meal preparation, delivery, and kitchen sanitation. You will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive nutritious and timely meals. This role reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor and requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn food service routines quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn and follow food service routines quickly.
Set up meal trays and assist with meal service to residents.
Strip down returned trays and assist with washing dishes.
Monitor and record chlorine concentration and water temperature for the dishwashing machine at the start of each shift.
Operate the dishwasher and ensure cleanliness of all kitchen equipment.
Prepare nourishments and snacks as directed.
Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
Carry out trash and garbage, ensuring safe disposal.
Organize and store groceries safely and cleanly.
Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and maintain a sanitary environment.
Participate in ongoing training and orientation for dietary staff.
Work in harmony with team members across departments.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a food service role is a plus, but not required.
Ability to read and follow recipes, technical procedures, and safety guidelines.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing and walking.
Occasional sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and pushing/pulling.
Ability to work in various physical conditions, including lifting and cleaning.
Good vision for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

The noise level is generally low to moderate.
