WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Senior Manager, General Accounting & Tax
The Senior Manager, General Accounting & Tax is a key strategic leader within the accounting department, responsible for overseeing the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and managing all aspects of tax compliance. This position is responsible for ensuring key activities such as period-end close, account reconciliations, audits, and tax compliance are achieved accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with accounting principles, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements. The Senior Manager will lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, drive process improvements, and play a critical role in supporting the financial health of the organization.
This is a full-time remote position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead and mentor the general accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Direct all phases of the period-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This includes establishing and maintaining a robust close calendar, procedures, and documentation.
Establish and maintain key policies and work instructions that support internal control effectiveness and process efficiency, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Spearhead process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of general accounting operations, leveraging technology and best practices.
Oversee internal audits and other compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Develop and present finance and accounting strategies to Management while maintaining standards and controls in a transaction-heavy business.
Manage the Sales tax function, ensuring compliance and meeting the needs of internal stakeholders.
Direct the Fixed Asset function, engaging with internal stakeholders to ensure the company is properly recording and evaluating fixed and intangible asset valuations.
Direct the Costing and inventory function, ensuring accurate and timely cost accounting and inventory management.
WHAT YOU BRING
BA/BS Accounting or equivalent experience/training.
CPA or CMA license required.
8+ years of relevant work experience.
Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Experience with ERP systems in a General Accounting role, preferably Oracle.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with a proven track record of delivering results.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Sitting/standing at a desk working on a computer for long periods of time.

Pay range (US based applicants): $129,483 - $162,000 (annualized)
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
