The Shuttle Driver is responsible for assisting members with their immediate needs. This may include, but not limited to, giving information on the facility, products and services, assisting with reservations, and collecting payments. This role may also be referred to as Member Services Specialist.
Hours: Monday thru Friday 2pm to 10pm - depending on customer needs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate any vehicle for the department's shuttle fleet (mid-size to high capacity vehicles) for extended periods of time
Prepare and update shuttle logs, incident reports, and End of Shift Reports
Operate multiple communication systems including: Microsoft Outlook, VIOP Phones, Cellphones, and UHF/VHF Radio systems
Educate the customer regarding the property, surrounding area, events and local attractions
Collaborate with multiple departments in a professional matter
Conduct regularly scheduled inspection and maintenance of shuttle vehicles
Follow and comply with all directions given by dispatcher on shift
Politely enforce MARSEC (Maritime Security) standards, policies, and procedures
Respond to emerging customer needs without sacrificing safety. This may include; bulk trash collection, on/off loading of provisions or hardware, and set-up/break-down of all events
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately
Minimum Technical Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft products such as; Excel, Word, and Outlook
Able to use 2-way radios and UHF radios
Is able to multi-task on multiple electronics
Possess a positive attitude with people and wide range situation/requests
Ability to make quick decisions based on trends or available information
Ability to communicate in polite and clear manner
Ability to adapt to customer/facility needs
Ability to assist guest and maximize satisfaction without sacrificing safety
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to customer needs
Ability and willingness to backfill other roles within the department when the schedule demands
