Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to become a part of our Quality team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in quality assurance processes, supplier management, and part inspection methodologies within a dynamic manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for quality, a curious mindset, and a commitment to going the extra mile to uphold and improve product quality.

Here's what you'll do:

Responsibilities

• Supplier Quality Assessment: Assist in evaluating and monitoring supplier performance through data analysis and quality metrics. Participate in supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Part Inspection: Conduct inspections of supplier parts and materials to verify conformance to specifications. Utilize measurement tools and techniques to assess quality and document findings accurately.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of inspections performed, including details on conforming and non-conforming parts. Prepare reports that summarize inspection findings and supplier performance metrics for evaluation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Quality leadership and cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to address quality issues and implement improvements.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing inspection processes and supplier quality management.

Do you qualify?

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Possess good understanding and ability to use the metrology tools like calipers, gauges, micrometers etc.
• Familiarity with quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards) is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00 – $25.00

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
