- Change management of programmable logic control (PLC) firmware, software, and applications
- Experience integrating robotic systems, or developing servo mechanisms or inspections systems
- Knowledge Oracle, A/S400, Ethernet/IP, Infinity QS, Statistical Process Control (SPC) software or applications, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)- Travel to manufacturing plants to train teams on automation specifications, review automation and control system design and evaluate and test new technology
- Support teams and plants in the design, implementation, and start-up of automation projects
- Serve as project lead for assigned corporate projects
- Develop, test, and document disaster recovery processes for all industrial control systems and ensure all service packs and patches are current
- Work with teams to develop capital appropriations
- Review and enforce all system and network access policies to ensure compliance with corporate audit standards
- Evaluate customized programming against commercial products
- Evaluate new technology and work with consultants on cost analysis and technical requirements
- Assist plants in determining requirements and assessing value of proposed services
- Provide status reports to management
- Maintain strong relationships between plants, divisions and the General Office
- Actively participate on audit and engineering sub-committees and attend department staff meetings
- Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems
- Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire division in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy
- Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
