Epidemiologist III - Hybrid - San Leandro, CA (Biotech)
SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Community Assessment, Planning, & Evaluation (CAPE) Director and in consultation with the Office of Violence Prevention (OVP), the Violence Prevention Epidemiologist III is responsible for independently managing violence and injury population and social indicators data; applying a health equity lens in developing and executing new data projects; and analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting surveillance data, surveys, and epidemiological studies. The Epidemiologist III will provide technical expertise for grant/funding applications, budget narratives, special data requests, community needs assessments, public health planning, and program evaluation efforts. The Epidemiologist III works closely with CAPE staff, OVP program managers and staff, key community-based partners, and other stakeholders to provide and communicate data findings and impacts of violence and injury on populations in Alameda County. The Epidemiologist III represents ACPHD on county and state steering committees, advisory groups, and teams.
The salary range for this position is $102,315.20 to $124,388.79 annually depending on experience/qualifications.

Education/Experience
Substitution: Possession of a Ph.D. or DrPH in epidemiology, biostatistics, social/behavioral sciences or another closely related field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years of the required experience in bullet two.

Our organization follows a hybrid workplace environment. This position will require work in-office in San Leandro, CA. Supervisor/leadership will determine hybrid schedule.
