Pricing Analyst (Finance)
Leads the pricing development process for the Pet Food business. Establish and ensure systematic, accurate, and auditable processes to support pricing quotes to customers for cost-plus pricing.
Essential Position Responsibilities - This is a Salary Exempt position.
Manages process design. Maps existing processes, identifies process opportunities, and designs new processes to improve the integrity of the price quote process. Ensure accuracy and auditability of cost-plus pricing process. Establish, communicate, and monitor accountabilities and expectations of all key process stakeholders.
Lead pricing process implementation and improvement. Work with functional leads in purchasing, product costing, and sales to develop, propose, and implement improvements to the price quote process.
Provides data analysis and decision making support. Analyzes and audits cost history utilized in price quotes against actual cost data. Assists Director of Costing in comparing product costs of like products within and across plants for consistency and accuracy.
Administer cost-plus pricing process. Ongoing administration of Co-Pack and Dry pricing maintenance to ensure accuracy, auditability, and timely completion. Maintain documentation of process current state for pricing administration, including price quote process, S&OP process, and other supporting processes.
Sales support. Provide price quote inputs and supporting documentation and explanations to Sales to support the price quote process. Administer tracking of pricing updates. Communicate closely with the Demand Team to ensure pricing and margin forecast accuracy.
Participates as a Member of the Team . Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
Simmons operating systems, principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Must be able to work on a computer for an extensive amount of time.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As needed in required environment.
Travel: Passport required, occasional travel within North America to and from facilities.
Technical Experience: Minimum 4 years in related analytical field and/or administrative role.
Industry Experience: Prefer experience supporting pricing and/or costing analysis in a manufacturing business.
Minimum Education : Related Bachelor's Degree or 4 years related work experience.
