Professor of Practice - Mexican-American Studies (Finance)
Duties include teaching (75%) and administrative (25%). The successful candidate must have college-level teaching experience. The successful candidate will teach MAS courses. Secondly, the Professor of Practice will serve as Director of the Lydia Mendoza Fellowship, which includes student recruitment, coordinating coaching and mentoring support for each fellow in the program, including professional development workshops and coordination between faculty and UH departments as well as other related duties. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships. The initial term is 1 year and may be renewable after initial term.

The Center for Mexican American and Latino/a Studies mission is to advance knowledge, promote critical thinking and foster the value of service to the community. Located within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, CMALS has evolved into an academic unit with several major components: teaching, research and publications, recruitment and retention, leadership training, academic advising and community service.
