Position Details
The Safety Supervisor at the Stella-Jones manufacturing plant in Sheridan, Oregon is responsible for ensuring Health and Safety compliance at the facility. This is an onsite role and reports to the Plant Manager.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety facility inspections
- Health and Safety facility audits
- Health and Safety facility training
- Health and Safety policy, programs, and procedures implementation
- Perform accident and incident investigation as necessary
- Provides directions to other department supervisors and plant employees in regards to health and safety matters
- Accurate and timely Health and Safety reporting and recordkeeping
- Occasional travel to EHS training events
- May be responsible for additional plant operations
- Participates and contributes to company safety program
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years years or Safety/EHS consulting or facility Safety/EHS management in a manufacturing industry preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Safety Science or related field a plus
- Proficiency with computers (specifically Microsoft Office)
- Problem solving skills
- Critical writing and Public speaking skills
