The Chief Financial Officer serves as a key member of the Executive team, responsible for the financial strategy and fiscal management of St. James Parish Hospital. This position ensures financial integrity, maximizes revenue growth, ensures regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting the hospitals mission of providing high-quality healthcare to our community. Job Duties: Develops and implement financial strategies to ensure the hospitals long-term financial health and sustainability. Directs financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to align with organizational long term and short term goals. Oversees revenue cycle management, including payor modeling, billing, compliance, collections, and reimbursement processes. Develops financial pro forma reports to evaluate service lines and provider contracts. Oversees the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial reports, audits, tax forms, and cost reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Responsible for negotiations and oversight of managed care contracts. Interacts with and represents the hospital in transactions with managed care companies. Evaluates and negotiates financial agreements with vendors, partners, and payers to optimize revenue generation and minimize costs. Manages financial risk and implement cost-control measures while maintaining high-quality patient care. Oversees the hospitals financial obligations and evaluates financing strategies as needed. Manages Finance division staff and fosters a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the division.
