Control Engineering. • Perform safety indoctrinations for contractors. Project Execution-Growth, Productivity & BCP • Support PE Controls Engineering, Utilize Web Audit Manager and Synergy to execute, document all corrective actions issued to the site from Audits and Incidents review (when applicable). • Support division effort to specify, design/build, calibration, configuration, or replacement of process equipment and devices. • Support division effort to specify design/build, install, startup and validate mechanical process equipment. • Efficiently, specify design/build, install, startup and validate electrical equipment control circuits. • Efficiently, specify, design/build, develop, deploy, startup and validate process control equipment. • Work with Linde IT to support division efforts in the OT space. • Effectively prioritize and schedule all work activities. • Key member of multifunctional Project Execution startup team supporting all EPP and PDI Projects. o Initial project commissioning and checkout o Mechanical and electrical startup and troubleshooting o Advanced training of onsite technical resources prior to full startup Administrative and Managerial • Follow all Quality Control requirements to ensure a quality product is delivered to Linde's customers. Meet FDA requirements where applicable. • Maintain a project startup work list and schedule, efficiently use of limited startup periods. • Maintain open continuous line of communication with manager and other project team members. • Direct and monitor contractors. • Complete all training activities according to schedule and meet annual performance goals. • Support entry level technicians through coaching and mentoring. • Check business email and Teams chats daily. • Effectively prioritize and schedule all work activities. • Organize, maintain all engineering documents. • Support sites outside of the home Area as required; accept minimum 25% travel. • Support plant and equipment commissioning activities. • Mark-up engineering drawings to document changes or disparities. • Identify cost effective solutions, follow company purchasing procedure and spending limitations. • Provide mentoring and training to all Engineering and Instrument Technicians. Other qualifications • Physically able to perform all duties required which may involve among other things: bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting and carrying loads of up to 50 lbs. • Ability to climb to heights 200 ft above grade and work effectively. • Valid driver's license with good record. • Capable of distinguishing different colors. Required key skills (functional/technical) • Customer Focus - Critical, Embracing and Leading Change - Critical, Functional & Technical Competence - Critical, Negotiation & Conflict Resolution - Critical, Strategic Thinking and Delivery - Required Required key skills (functional/technical) • Math - basic algebra, fractions/percentages, unit conversion. • Personal computer proficiency (Internet, word processing, spreadsheets, MS Project, Visio), and other software used by the company. • Proficient with AutoCAD • Strong interpersonal abilities to support team philosophy and strategy. • Strong interpersonal abilities to support mentoring/coaching activities. • Strong organizational ability. • Able to work alone. • High mechanical aptitude and ability to work with mechanic's hand tools. • Familiar with codes and standards associated with electrical wiring. • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable chemical manufacturing process and hazards within area or site • Familiar with all process and analytical equipment and function. • Understanding of electrical hazards and safety, and ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, with support from central engineering. • Comprehensive knowledge of EI&C Elementary drawings and Electrical Single-Line Drawings • Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot 4-20 mA transmitter and electro-pneumatic control loops. • Comprehensive knowledge and ability to troubleshoot pneumatic control systems consisting of I/Ps, solenoid valves, quick exhausts, actuators, regulators, and proportional/integral controllers both stand alone and cascaded. • Comprehensive knowledge and ability to troubleshoot industrial refrigeration skids. • Understanding of all trip and interlock logic protecting people and equipment. • Comprehensive knowledge of control system architectures including hardware setup, and software configuration and IEC61131-3 Programming Languages • Comprehensive knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings including P&IDs and PFDs • Able to navigate LiDAP to find relevant standards, forms and supporting documentation. • Able to complete all project management practices according to best practice and division standards. • Capable of operating a forklift, and/or overhead crane, and/or man lift according to company policy.
