- Minimum Required: High School Diploma
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Current State of Ohio Surgical Assistant certification (based on educational background: CFA, CSA, PA-C, SA-C, RNFA, CSTFA
- Years of Experience: 3-5 years (required) 6-10 years (preferred)

Learn more at uchealth.com.The Supervisor - Surgical Assistant & Robotics is responsible for providing operational leadership and support for the day-to-day Perioperative Services' processes related to Surgical Assistants in the Operating Room and UCH's Robotics program. This includes, but is not limited to, the operational management, development, and productivity monitoring of Surgical Assistant team members as assigned as well as responsibility for the oversight and facilitation of UCH's Robotics program.
- Supervision and oversight for 8-20 direct Surgical Assistant and/or Senior Surgical Assistant.
- Precept and educate direct reports as needed.
- Responsible for insuring scheduling demands are met on a weekly basis, assist with yearly job performance reviews, adhere to policies established by Perioperative Services', all regulatory guidelines, and UC Health.
- Monitor, track, and maintain and troubleshoot robotics equipment and supplies.
- Regularly monitor surgeon preference cards associated with robotics cases across all service lines updating as needed.
- Clinical Skills performed under direct supervision of the surgeon as outlined in the scope of practice for a Surgical Assistant.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
