Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor, leads and oversees activities of production operations engaged in scheduling, processing and/or the development of a product or a service to obtain optimum efficiency, economy of operations to maximize profits, and on-time delivery to customer while effectively using the ERP (Epicor) system to transact movements. This role involves coordinating with various departments to meet production schedules, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate production activities, including production manufacturing, and material movement.
• Train and provide guidance to production team members to ensure adherence to procedures and standards.
• Collaborate with production scheduling and procurement departments to prioritize orders, resolve issues, and optimize workflow efficiency.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in all production operations.
• Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients/supplies as necessary to meet delivery schedules. Inspects materials and products to maintain organization standards.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities between departments. Responsible for the work effort and the appraisal of personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area, including proper storage, disposal of materials, and maintain 5S standards.
• Coordinates and directs the activities of the production department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
• Inspects product to verify production specifications are met.
• Supports cost improvement initiatives and implementation of programs related to operational efficiency.
• Assists in coordination of production schedules to achieve customer satisfaction and optimal revenue and margins.
• Work overtime as needed to meet the schedule. Communicates reasoning for needing OT.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Effectively manage timecards and Epicor time keeping of direct reports
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in production operations.

Position Qualifications:

• 5 years' experience in manufacturing
• Please note a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• OSHA certification, preferred.
• Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours a day Able to lift 30 pounds.
• Able to walk for extended periods of time.
