The Summer Analyst Program
Piper Sandler is currently seeking undergraduate students for our 2025 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Internship Program. Summer Analysts generally work 10 weeks within an industry or product group in Investment Banking and have the opportunity to learn financial modeling and basic analysis of companies and industries, as well as gain an understanding of the dynamics of the capital markets.
The Internship Program includes one week of formal training held near Piper Sandler's Minneapolis, MN headquarters. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend networking events during the program. Our Investment Banking internships are a direct pipeline to our full time Analyst positions for the following year.

The Piper Sandler Financial Sponsors group manages the firm's relationships with private equity firms and family offices and their portfolio companies. Our experienced team of coverage officers coordinates investment banking activity across industry and product groups, delivering all of the firm's resources to our clients and institutionalizing these important relationships. This is an extremely exciting opportunity in a rapidly growing, global team within Piper.

The Investment Banking Financial Sponsors Summer Analyst will support a global team of 7 Managing Directors, 1 Director, 1 Vice President, 2 Associates, and 2 Analysts in New York. Summer Analyst responsibilities include the following:
• Work with both junior and senior industry and product bankers across the firm on business development initiatives and provide transaction support
• Generate presentation materials
• Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research
• Assist the team with key industry and marketing events
• Additional duties and projects

What We Look For:
Piper Sandler seeks dedicated and motivated individuals possessing demonstrated academic achievement (generally, a GPA above 3.3) as well as leadership, organizational and teamwork skills. The ability to create innovative solutions, articulate complex ideas and adapt to a rapidly changing environment is essential. Analysts must be able to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects. The most successful analysts have a demonstrated track record of success.
Additional Requirements:
• Excellent time management, written, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
• Candidates are expected to be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Additional experience with VBA, Tableau, Python and data analysis are a plus
• Team player with a superior work ethic
• A desire to learn the investment banking and private equity business, and uncompromising attention to detail
The Internship Program is open to students who anticipate graduating from a top-tier undergraduate institution in December 2025 or May/June 2026 . U.S. work eligibility is required.

The anticipated starting salary for New York City-based individuals expressing interest in this position is based off an annualized salary of $110,000 per year.
