Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Assistant Dean of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Manager will primarily serve as a leader in strategic marketing and communications planning as a liaison between the school's communications team and individual departments. This role will meet regularly with their assigned departments to discuss current marketing and communications needs, creative strategy, marketing goals, deadlines, budgets, deliverables, etc. to help drive the communications team's work and meet departmental objectives.

The ideal candidate is a creative marketing strategist with a passion for promoting engineering excellence. Skilled in leveraging websites, social media, press releases, and events, they drive brand visibility, attract prospective students, and highlight faculty research and student achievements. With strong project management and collaboration skills, they lead impactful campaigns and ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
Workplace Requirements:
Hybrid position: This is a remote work position (resides in Houston) with occasional requirements to be in-person on campus. Per Rice policy 440 , work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range: $85,000 - 90,000
*Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime.
