The Fire Systems Install Technician is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with fire codes and safety standards. The role involves ensuring the proper installation, functionality, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in compliance with fire codes and standards. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, testing systems, and preparing detailed reports to document findings and address deficiencies.

What You Will Be Doing

• Install and upgrade fire alarm systems in commercial properties.
• Inspect and test fire alarm systems to verify compliance with fire codes and standards.
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Repair and maintain existing alarm systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Complete detailed inspection reports, accurately documenting all findings and issues.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on all completed work and inspection results.

What You Bring to Assure Success:

• Previous experience with fire systems, low voltage, security systems, or closely related field
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new technologies and basic troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to work independently, be self-directed and make sound decisions based on customer satisfaction
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites
• NICET Certification is preferred, but not required with the right experience. Any other industry related certs or training are also a plus. (Ex: Siemens, Simplex, etc.)
