Senior Functional Analyst (Finance)
Advances Simmons Foods information management capabilities by meeting the needs of the various business units for project and process implementation of applications, including their design, development, deployment and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - This is a Salary Exempt position.
Manages Projects: Maintains alignment with stakeholders on business requirements, resource requirements, prioritization and balancing of competing priorities. Manages RFP's, CAPEX and procurement cycle of purchased products and services along with coordination of outside resources. Regularly communicates project cost, project status and progress to Project Sponsors and stakeholders. Demonstrates a working understanding of Agile Project Methodology.
Maintains and supports purchased applications: Maintains, implements, upgrades and supports existing purchased applications. Builds and performs training and documentation for these applications. Performs migration of legacy applications to current applications. Deliver functional and technical user support where needed.
Troubleshoots: Quickly recognizes functional system issues and performs the steps needed to solve the issue as quickly and effectively as possible. Includes other team members depending on the magnitude of the issue. Participates in After Action Review with IS team to document resolution and what was learned for future reference.
Collaborates with users to develop application processes to address new business requirements. Lead the planning, installation and testing of applications at new facilities. Validates any work done, whether development or issue resolution, will be thoroughly tested outside of the production environment before implementing into the production environment.
Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Communicates with Customers, Vendors, or Employees via telephone, in person, and/or electronic mail. May present information to small or large groups.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As required by visiting facility.
Travel: One to two offsite classes per year. Travel to facilities as required by business needs. International travel and passport required.
Technical Experience: 10 years of business process experience with ERP systems. 5 years business process experience with Oracle Oracle E-Business Suite. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification would be an asset. Must be able to gather relevant information systematically, use accurate logic in analysis, and grasp complexities and perceive relationships among problems or issues. Proven ability to perform database queries. Knowledge of software architecture including databases, operating systems, real time systems, and user interfaces, as well as knowledge of software development standards including test and production environments, testing models, error tracking, development and application lifecycles required.
Industry Experience: Preference for food processing organization.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field, or 4 years related experience. Preference for a focus in Business Processes or Project Management.
