Dock Supervisor (Transportation)

The Dock Supervisor is responsible for the timely and accurate loading and unloading of semi-trailers while managing freight handlers/dock workers at an assigned Magnum LTL location. Magnum hauls/delivers a variety of freight for our customers and partner carriers. Some examples may include paper products, household chemicals, alcohol, tobacco, and food-grade items.
Unload freight from incoming semi-trailers at the dock on the receiving side of the warehouse.Reload manifest, match product in trucks to specified delivery products and locationsInspect freight for damageEnter necessary data into the computerReload freight into an appropriate trailer at the loading dock for the driver to deliver utilizing propane-powered and sit-down style forklifts and handloadingMaintain a clean environment, including removing broken pallets, sweeping inside of trailers, etc.Assist with projects and perform other duties as assignedAbility to fluently read, speak, and write English to complete the necessary paperwork and communicate with supervisors and co-workersThe candidate will need computer skills and forklift skillsCheck drivers inCreate manifestsLoad trailersOversee the dock
