ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY: Facilities Planning and Management is responsible for management of the design and construction of new facilities and infrastructure improvements, renovations, deferred maintenance, campus master planning and land acquisitions. Facilities Planning and Management is responsible for the management of facilities operations and outsourced facilities services agreements (including maintenance, landscaping, grounds and custodial services), emergency management, COOP plans, utilities management and sustainability. The unit currently serves the entire campus community of 350 faculty/staff and 6,500 students with an annual operating budget of approximately $2,700,000.00.
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting with the management of daily operations for Facilities, Planning and Management's transit and parking services, including the development of operational policies, procedures; and staff recruitment, training and supervision. This role has a broad scope of responsibilities and the ability to recommend and implement policies, procedures and training for transit and parking services.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid driver's license and clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops operational policies and procedures. Reviews and manages requests for vehicle use processes. Schedules and bills for services as appropriate. Monitors and responds to transit related questions/correspondence.
Ensures university vehicles are regularly serviced, detailed, and ready for use. Monitors and inspects daily upkeep and assists with vehicle repair budgeting. Manages vehicle reservations and manages key drop off and pickup. Maintains vehicle usage and maintenance records.
Oversees administrative daily operation of the fleet, including oversight of training, safety, charters and maintenance. Schedule drivers for student pick up and drop off at assigned sites, including MOTE Marine, etc.
Utilize work order system (FAMIS) for vehicle scheduling and provide back up for work order assignment as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
HS diploma and four years of related work experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Previous supervision experience preferred.
Transportation position require a valid Florida license. Proven ability to maintain a clean driving record.
