Director of Supply Chain (Project Management)

Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Manage and oversee the procurement of materials, supplies, and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure smooth logistics operations.
Monitor and forecast demand to plan purchasing activities, balancing supply and demand to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
Identify and evaluate supply chain risks and work to mitigate issues through proactive strategies and contingency planning.
Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to optimize inventory management, improve fulfillment processes, and streamline the supply chain.
Analyze key supply chain metrics and prepare reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and logistics performance to inform strategic decisions.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and carriers to ensure reliable service and favorable contract terms.
Implement best practices and technology solutions to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
Manage and lead a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be a US citizen and meet any other federal program requirements.
Ability to obtain CAC Card, Secret clearance preferred
A general/working knowledge of MS Office products is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customer
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
