Role/ Department: Sr Corporate Communications Specialist, Wealth Management/Corporate Communications
The Sr Corporate Communications Specialist supports divisional executives and departments in developing and executing strategic communications that drive engagement and alignment with organizational goals. This role involves communication planning, executive communications, campaign development, creating and executing strategic content, managing divisional newsletter/communications platforms, message and presentation development, and the coordination/preparation of large-scale leadership events or Town Halls. Additionally, they are responsible for defining thought leadership platforms for divisional leaders and create multi-channel content, including for social media.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional writing and storytelling abilities. They must have excellent organizational and PowerPoint skills and is knowledgeable on digital communications channels, such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and other related channels. They must also possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Participates in the planning, development and coordination of internal communication programs for large scale divisional initiatives.
• Counsels executives and partners on communications strategies and programs to meet departmental and enterprise objectives.
• Creates written and visual content to support objectives such as leadership memos, videos, infographics, digital newsletters, and internal articles.
• Ensures cascade of enterprise priorities and content (One Northern Trust, Culture, Risk and Enhancement Program, etc.) within division.
• Ensures consistency of messages and brand through all communications globally.
• Execute thought leadership platforms through multi-channels on behalf of the divisional leaders.
• Coordinates and manages quarterly Town Halls and monthly leadership messages.
• Interacts with all levels in the organization to produce desired materials.
• Tracks and reports quarterly metrics against annual goals and campaign objectives.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Is a technical expert with in-depth knowledge in marketing communications and internal communications usually acquired through formal education in journalism or communications.
• Requires strong analytical ability, excellent written and PowerPoint skills, strong judgment and communication skills, technologically savvy and the ability to work effectively with clients and management and staff.
Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)
We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.
Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
