Engine Lathe Operator (Finance)

The following statements describe the daily duties required for this position:

• Selects appropriate tooling and feed speeds according to material being cut and operations to be performed.
• Performs any combination of cuts such as facing, boring, tapping, and threading.
• Burr, clean and protect machined parts as required.
• Inspects and gages own work in process.
• Responsible for quality and efficiency of work performed.

• Minimum of 2 years experience performing machine set-up.
• Minimum of 2 years experience performing the operation of manual engine lathes.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and ability to utilize machine shop measuring instruments.
• Instruments include but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, thread gages, etc.
