Summary
This position is responsible for creating and implementing a general maintenance plan for Ready Mix Concrete production plants. This includes maintenance and repairs on all parts of Concrete batch plants and related equipment. This may include boilers, stackers, admix pumps, water pumps, charge and discharge conveyors, material bins and any other equipment associated with Ready Mix Concrete production.
Wage Range: $34.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement General Maintenance Plan for Ready Mix production facilities.
- Lead all maintenance and repair activities related to Ready Mix production.
- Document and report all progress to RMC Delivery Manager.
- Observe and document condition of all equipment, recommend preventative maintenance and capital upgrades as necessary.
- Work with RMC Delivery Manager to prioritize repairs based on operational demand.
- Order parts needed for special projects, routine maintenance requirements, spare parts, tools and equipment as needed.
- Secure and manage outside contractor services as needs arise which are outside internal capabilities
- Interprets company policies and safety regulations to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.
- Understand Command Batch Systems

Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent in training, education or 5 + years of experience as maintenance manager, or equivalent combination of experience, training and education
- Previous experience maintaining industrial equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts, frontend loaders and batch mixers a plus
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Ability to maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic control equipment used in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
- Basic computer skills utilizing Excel, Word and Power Point applications
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.

Able to work in all weather conditions.
The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hand and arms above their shoulders. Must be able to exert 10-20 lbs. Constantly to move objects, 25-50 lbs of force frequently and 50-100lbs of force occasionally.
