JOB SUMMARY: Provides support to human resources function, carrying out responsibilities in the following areas: HRIS, staffing, records retention, employee relations facilitation and payroll administration, troubleshooting and interface. Coordinates and plans employee special events. In addition, this position may handle routine administrative duties, such as production data entry and record keeping, answer and direct phone calls, and maintaining supplies. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Support the recruitment/hiring process by resourcing candidates, conducting phone screens and interviews, checking references, performing background checks, issuing offer letters. Provide candidate communications and information to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the application process. Assist onsite recruiter to produce and submit reports on recruitment activities. Visible and accessible to all associates, directing associates seeking policy clarification and HR-related inquiries to management and/or an HR Generalist. Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, such as auditing I-9 files, digitizing HR and safety files and records. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, executive orders, Human Resources Division (HRD), and EOHHS policies and procedures. Assist safety manager on maintaining workers comp records and data. Serve as Human Resources Triage by supporting all internal and external HR related inquiries and requests. Coordinates and monitors production associate merit increases and performance reviews. Assists with coordinating the logistics for new hire orientations and safety trainings. Assists associates with medical leave related questions and paperwork, coordinate with corporate benefits manager to process leave and disability paperwork. Completes all filing of employee documents and personnel folders of active and inactive employees Prepares, gathers and assembles required documents for employee on-boarding. Support other functions as assigned by the Human Resources Manager. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 1-3 years experience in progressive HR support role.Experience with the staffing process (screening, interviewing, etc.)Highly motivated with ability to pro-actively provide supportCapable of independently managing multiple tasks/projects in a professional, efficient mannerExcellent customer service & follow-through skillsOutstanding desktop computer skills (MS Office applications)Experience with HRIS & Payroll software or database softwareAbility to exercise sound judgment and strict confidentiality standardsAssociates degree or administrative support certification or equivalent work experience.Proficient in Microsoft Word, excel, and Power point. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
