VP, Commercial Lending

Wintrust Commercial Banking is looking for a dynamic Middle Market Commercial Lender to join our team. The right individual will have a proven track record in lending with 7+ years of experience working with Companies in Revenue $20 million – 300 million. This is an officer level position which requires proficiency in all areas of commercial banking, superior credit skills, and customer service and negotiations skills as well as significant bank product knowledge.
What you will be doing:
Manage existing commercial loan customer base and develop new business from referral sources and through cold calling efforts.
Increase the Bank's profitability by cultivating new commercial business relationships.
Maintain and develop existing portfolio by assessing and meeting client's business and personal needs.
Strong ability with work with internal credit partners to accurately represent opportunities, and ultimately negotiate proper loan structures and effectively cross-sell products.
Maintain properly documented files and manage renewals and collection efforts on past dues and defaulted loans.
Maintains comprehensive understanding of current on commercial products offered in the market and keeps informed of all relevant industry trends and practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Finance, Economics or related quantitative field.
7-10 years experience in Commercial Banking and 3-5 years managing a portfolio of clients.
Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations covering commercial banking activities.
Strong analytical ability with effective written and verbal communication skills.
High ethical standards and personal integrity.
