Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) is an Operating Units within the Cardiac portfolio at Medtronic. At CAS, we are developing next generation medical technologies that treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms. We are looking for an experienced Core Team Leader (CTL) to join the CAS R&D team. The Core Team Leader for the Pulse Select 2.0 EM Sensor is the cross-functional business leader, accountable for decision-making within development projects using the Core Team model. This role collaborates with senior leadership to develop strategies and business objectives and is accountable to ensuring business outcomes are delivered at all phases of product development programs, from conception to launch. The CTL also plays a significant partnering role in mentoring and developing Core Team Members so that they operate as an effective cross-functional team. They are the primary champion for overcoming barriers, implementing a culture of iterative and agile design, and building and empowering a team of innovators charting the next phase in CAS product innovation.
Position Responsibilities:
Business Leadership:
• Cast a compelling vision and define a strategy to meet it, including alignment with other Operating Unit functions.
• Lead and coordinate Core Team(s) actions required for all business planning cycles.
• Accountable for all Core Team communications with key sponsors and stakeholders.
• Champion DRM practices and drive the collection of high-quality VOX input to define solutions that optimize business outcomes.
• Effectively leverage the Core Teams(s) as the primary vehicle for working in a project-centric, cross-functional matrix.
Program Leadership:
• Accountable for the formation of high-performance, cross-functional core team
• E nsures that Core Team(s) are focused on predictability through rigorous planning and execution of project baselines including scope, cost, schedule, resources, risk, and quality.
• P rovides leadership on key project decisions surrounding change control, trade-off's, etc. - arbitrate and resolve escalated issues.
• C hampions resource management discussions with functional organizations to ensure that all Core Teams are staffed to be successful.
• E nsures that the Core Team(s) achieve contracted commitments and performance metrics.
• D evelopment and execution of market commercialization plans and releases to all markets that are in scope.
Talent Development Leadership:
• Mentor and coach team members to build a sustainable pipeline of talent.
• Create and cultivate an empowered culture where team members are encouraged to think critically and make decisions
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in project management, or an advanced degree with minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. 7+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have:
• Advanced degree in business, engineering, or a related field
• Medical Device industry experience- knowledge of new product development, DRM, clinical trial management, quality systems, global regulatory experience.
• Knowledge of electrophysiology/experience with EP products
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated executive leadership presence.
• Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Financial acumen
• Knowledge of patient safety, quality, clinical research, strategic planning.
• Strong "influence management" skill set demonstrated in a corporate environment.
• Knowledgeable of U.S. Food and Drug Law and WW regulatory, device safety and/or regulatory/clinical research.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$160,000.00 - $240,000.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
