Therapist (Healthcare)
Client Services
Provide a minimum of 16 hours a week of evidence-based individual, family and group counseling to survivors of sexual violence, youth with sexual behavior problems, and significant others at MOCSA offices and outreach sites.
Maintain productivity requirements at an average of 90% or above.
Provide case management including coordination of services with child protection, legal and community collaterals.
Complete all client documentation.
Participate in collaborative meetings with external professionals.
The responsibilities described represent the primary responsibilities of the job. Other responsibilities may be assigned as warranted by business needs. The incumbent is expected to complete all assigned duties. Grant funds may only be used for the provision of approved activities.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work. Must be eligible for licensure in Missouri and/or Kansas. Must register for clinical supervision within 15 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Credentialed or certifications in evidence-based practices such as EMDR, TF-CBT, or CPT or registration as a Play Therapist. Experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or children who have been involved with the foster care/Family Court system. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish.

Physical Demands
Work is typically performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve non-routine and complex problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills; perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks; work under intensive deadlines with frequent interruptions; and interact with faculty, staff, administration, funders, and others encountered in the course of work.
WORK HOURS
Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular evening and occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Four-day and/or hybrid work weeks available. Work schedules will be determined at the time of hire.
TRAVEL
Regular travel throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area to perform counseling and outreach services, as well as participation in agency sponsored events.

The salary range for this position is $54,000 - $71,000. Therapists at MOCSA are eligible for no-cost clinical supervision, flexible scheduling and agency sponsored training in evidenced-based treatment practices. The base salary range for this role is determined by several factors, including but not limited to education, skills, licensure and certifications, and experience. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees, and/or those with advanced credentials.
