Freelance Social Producer (Finance)

Edelman is looking for a freelance Social Producer to manage high-volume ongoing social content across a few key accounts. This is an ongoing hybrid opportunity that requires 2-3 days in either our NY, LA, or CHI office.

Who Are You?

You can lead, juggle, track, and deliver production solutions across multiple social platforms and dozens of social handles. You are comfortable with the workflow and tracking of high-volume social assets, including copy, design, animation, and video content, for the fulfillment of overarching strategy and creative direction. You are a detail-oriented communicator with an energetic presence and a belief in following through and quality assurance. Social media is your thing - you tend to be in the know on new features, platforms, and real-time trends. You are motivated by fast-paced environments, teamwork, and cutting edge creative and production.

Responsibilities:

• Manage content production from conception to completion, organizing and tracking across volume and versions, while working within distributed agency teams.
• Presents production budgets and schedules and addresses production related questions for internal and external clients.
• Maintain deep knowledge of content production for social platforms including Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Threads, and new platforms as prioritized by social strategy.
• Have an eye for smart creative work and an appetite and curiosity for all aspects of creative production for social media, including emerging technologies like AI.
• Manage and maintain a social creative production tracker and timelines in real time that can be shared with internal teams and external clients to provide timing and status of content.
• Estimate and track out-of-pocket expenses when needed, with a focus on stock licensing and other production expenses.
• Be an advocate for the creative process, so that the best ideas come to life, while always looking for the best way to provide solutions on time and budget.
• Communicate and work with business affairs to ensure all legal clearances and guidelines are adhered to throughout the creative production process.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in social media production at a creative agency or production company
• Lead and manage overall execution, budget and timeline for mid-level budgeted video/photo, digital and animation projects
• Ability to own, build, and maintain timelines for high-volume creative production
• Experience in delivery and trafficking work across creative production staff through a clear workflow process
• Full knowledge of file requirements (dimensions, size, type, etc.) for social platform delivery
• Proven track record of managing projects successfully
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of industry trends and tools
• Ability to solve problems quickly and adapt to changing project environments
• Be the point person for all daily internal and vendor communications, keeping Executive Producer informed on project updates

$75 - $90 an hour

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
