Plan, organize, and direct quality assurance programs and activities. Develop, implement and coordinate QA and assessment programs to enhance resident care. Attends any required facility specific meetings/committees which support the facility QAPI program. Monitors trends and prepares quality reports for the QAPI committee. Develops processes in conjunction with the QAPI Committee to assess systems of care including clinical care, quality of life, and resident choice. Identifies need for education based on findings and trends. Elicits data from facility identified systems to monitor care and services with findings compared to benchmarks and targets the faculty has established for performance. Works collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary team (IDT) to provide education/training based on findings. Tracking, monitoring and investigation of adverse events with identified action plan. Oversight of Facility Infection control program which includes process of identification, reporting, surveillance, and investigation of communicable diseases and infections. Participation in correction of State and Federal survey deficiency corrections as appropriate. Attend facility in service training programs (i.e. HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, Infection Control, etc.) Maintains the utmost level of confidentiality. Report suspected or known breaches. Supervisory Requirements This position has no supervisory responsibilities Qualification Education and/or Experience RN or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required with 3years Long Term Care experience, specialized training in QAPI or QAPI Certification a plus. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations To preform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite products.
