Community Health Worker II (Finance)

Additional Job Posting Information:**This position is part of the CHW program at the College of Medicine**The position will work with the community from the Third Ward and East End as part of the Household Centered Care Program for the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine in the Office of Community Health to connect community members with health coverage, medical and mental health services, food, and other social needs. The work will be conducted with an interprofessional team of medical, nursing, and social work students. Candidates for this position must be able to conduct home or community visits in person and must have access to dependable transportation. Reimbursements for mileage related to work-related travel will be offered. Moreover, this position is in-office from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the possibility of evening and weekend hours. Advance notice will be given for any evening and weekend assignments. Preferred Experience: Case management and resource navigation experience preferred.
High school and 1 year experience
Education: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED.Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.Certification/Licensing: Texas State Community Health Worker Certification.
