Residential Site Supervisor - Edgewood Residential Home - Oxford, GA (Project Management)
Job Code: SSS013/Client Support Worker Supervisor
Shift: 1st, flexibility required (40 hours per week on average)
Job Hours: 7am-3pm - Times May Vary - some weekends required

The IDD Site Supervisor manages operations, supervises direct care staff, and monitors resident activity in a personal care home or other community residential site serving consumers with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.
Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Assists with daily living activities at the person's home, in a daytime non-residential facility or a residential facility. Observes and monitors client's behavior and charts observations and incidents. Provides training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills to consumers/students in a state school, hospital, juvenile detention facility, residence, group home, workshop, or supported employment environment. May assist with meal preparation, ensuring or encouraging client group activity, providing transportation, and/or limited case management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs and trains staff on the basic premises of the residential services program: positive consumer interactions, respect for consumer rights and dignity, and use of normalization principles.
Counsels subordinate staff individually on job performance, monitors their compliance with agency, and program procedures and formally evaluates staff performance using methods and timelines prescribed by the agency.
Schedules staff to assure 24-hr. coverage of the residence, minimizes use of overtime working hours, and flexes or adjusts schedule when necessary to cover shifts.
Participates in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, commendation, promotion, and disciplinary adverse action of subordinate staff.
Reviews time records submitted by non-exempt subordinates for accuracy and completeness.
Applies consistent standards for approval or denial of leave that comply with agency policies and procedures related to use of leave and suggested minimum balances.
Regularly counsel employees whose leave balances or leave use are below standard and/or takes other appropriate disciplinary actions.
Ensures that time and attendance information submitted for each employee is complete and accurate by verifying leave approvals and records of time worked.
Promptly notifies the manager and/or the Human Resources office when salaried employees go off the payroll due to resignations or require pay adjustments for leave without pay or other issues.
Complies with legal requirements and agency policies regarding timelines and documentation for Family Leave requests and other requests for leave of absence.
Participates as a member of the treatment team for consumers under their care, providing input into treatment and discharge plans based on observation of consumer strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
Works with other service providers and staff in support of effective consumer treatment, linkage, communication, and continuity of service.
Provides leadership and support to subordinate staff on job duties to meet the goals and objectives identified in consumer treatment plans and to maintain the residence.
Writes progress notes and other supportive documentation that is compliant with program, payer, and agency requirements.
Keeps records on each consumer that complies with all VPH and other regulatory authority standards for content and maintenance.
Monitors and maintains the residential site and its equipment, supplies, and assigned vehicle according to all VPH and other regulatory authority standards necessary for compliance.
Ensures general cleanliness and orderliness of the site, vehicle, and equipment.
Communicates with landlords, Program Manager, and maintenance staff regarding physical site repairs and maintenance. Ensures site and vehicle compliance with health and safety regulations.
Uses personal vehicle for consumer transportation needs when agency vehicle is unavailable. Serves as safety officer for the site and is on-call for initial response to consumer, staff, or site emergencies.
Represents the site at meetings, tours and visits, inspections, audits, and evaluations.
Maintains, completes, and submits site management records, reports, and staff training records necessary for licensure, accreditation, and other requirements and according to set deadlines.
Stays up to date on training as required by VPH and all other regulatory authorities and ensures the same for subordinate staff.
Lifts and carries groceries and supplies and moves furniture for cleaning.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience providing social or direct care services to groups of special needs individuals in a human service setting, which includes one (1) year experience as a lead worker, team lead, or supervisory role; or One (1) year of experience at the lower level Client Support Worker 3 (SSS012) or equivalent position.
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
Any combination of training and experience which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
