The Technician is responsible for supporting the Test Engineers in the set up and execution of product testing for outside clients.

What you'll do:
- Prepare and setup test samples and test equipment.
- Operate equipment and perform testing in accordance with approved test plan.
- Obtain and record test data in accordance with standards.
- Perform calculation and analysis of test data.
- May draft test reports.
- Maintaining and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Maintain lab facilities.
- Assist with training entry level technicians.
- May make recommendation regarding the interpretation and applicability for specific test standards.
- May communicate with clients regarding general project inquiries, updates, etc.
- May assist with test plan creation and/or method development
- May adapt procedures and equipment to meet department needs.
- May prepare project files for compliance with operating procedures.
- Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of directly related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or directly related technical field.
- Experience with Transit / Package Testing using ISTA Standards.
- Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools
- Mechanical Aptitude - Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
- Problem Solver - Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment - Hard worker, Self Starter, Organized, and Eager to Learn
- Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
- Must be quality-focused and customer driven
- Microsoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook
