Corporate Manufacturing Engineer (Finance)
Define, set, and lead Manufacturing Process Planning (MPP), Engineering Change Management (ECM tools), and implement Bill of Equipment (BOE), Bill of Process (BOP) and Bill of Operation (BOO) requirements, including lean, agile, and flexible (LAF) guidelines, for current and future LEER Group assembly and manufacturing processes including aluminum and fiberglass manufacturing, surface prep & paint, assembly and test processes, as well as tonneau cover, bed slide, windows, and glass. This includes assembly fastening, functional test, lift assists for heavy parts, and all processes required to manufacture Leer Group products. Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs) on equipment as required. Support design engineering with design for six sigma (DFSS), design for manufacturing (DFM), and design for assembly (DFA), and on-site equipment build and run-off. Execute the Statement of Requirements (SORs) and project management for procurement of manufacturing equipment, assembly, test, and other technologies including gel coat, lamination, head liner, surface prep, paint, assembly, and test, as well as aluminum metal fabrication, window, glass, and tonneau as required. Design and define manufacturing processes and sequence of operations, with Human Machine Interface (HMI) considerations. This includes classical tools such as but not limited to; Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Process Control Plans, Process Element Tables, Process Sheets, Product Family Matrix, Value Stream Maps, Spaghetti Diagrams, Process Capability Review, Gage R&R, Measurement Systems Analysis, Standardized Work, Line Balancing, Labor Routings, Plant Layouts, Ergonomic Assessments, Machine Run off, PPAP Acceptance, Design Thinking Workshops, Kaizen Event Planning, and other lean, six sigma, flexible and agile manufacturing engineering methods, systems and tools. Assume responsibility for Lean Material Flow, including designing kitting areas, lean containerization, material delivery routes, kanban systems.
