Human Resources Manager - Chimes DC (Baltimore/Hybrid) (Finance)

Strategic Alignment: Partner with business leaders to understand their goals and support the organization's business planning related to human resource needs, strategies, and philosophies.
Employee Relations: With strategic guidance from the Director of People & Culture, collaborate closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity and retention. Address complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on organizational policies, federal and state employment laws (including Equal Employment Opportunity, harassment, and Family Medical Leave Act), and agency policy violations.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work alongside internal and external stakeholders, such as Job Coaches, Case Managers, and the Benefits Department, to facilitate employee support, including accommodation requests.
Performance Management: Provide leadership development and performance management support to management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
Change Management: In collaboration with the Dir. People & Culture, lead and support change management initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness. Foster continuous improvement and a positive organizational culture in HR.
Employment Law Expertise: Stay informed of legal requirements related to employee management to minimize legal risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
HR Policy Development: Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with business needs and legal requirements.
Data Analysis: Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions that improve HR practices.
Coaching and Development: Provide coaching and development opportunities for managers and employees to enhance performance and skillsets. Mentor and train HRBP's and other HR support staff as appropriate.
Special Projects: Lead or participate in special HR projects to advance the HR agenda at Chimes. Create project plans and drive them to successful implementation.
Leadership Role: Serve as the "go-to" team leader in the absence of the Director of People & Culture.
Travel: This position requires local travel up to 30% of the time.
Additional Responsibilities: Assume other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as needed.
Requirements: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
SHRM or HRCI certification is strongly preferred.
Experience:
5 years of experience in HR, particularly in HR business partner or generalist roles.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to influence and build relationships with senior leaders, clients, and HR colleagues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
