Irrigation Technician (Maintenance)
East Coast Golf Management is currently accepting applications for the position of Irrigation Technician at River's Edge Golf Club in Shallotte NC. River's Edge is an Arnold Palmer Signature Design that was built in 1999 along the marshes and bluffs of the Shallotte River. River's Edge was voted 2023 Golf Course of the Year by the Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association and is consistently well reviewed by our customers.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Irrigation Technician will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance. This position is ideal for someone who wants to work hard and gain valuable experience to continue moving their career forward. The Irrigation Technician will assist in daily operations of golf course maintenance to include mowing, raking bunkers, course set up, irrigation repairs, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Irrigation system monitoring
Irrigation repairs
Yearly irrigation audit
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Mowing, edging, and fertilizing the golf course turf.
Pruning trees, shrubs, and other landscaping elements.
Planting and maintaining flowers, bushes, and other ornamental plants.
Rake and maintain bunkers on the golf course.
Assist with the setup of the golf course for daily play and special events
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education/Credentials
High School Diploma
Prefer candidates pursuing a degree in turf management or a closely related field.
Experience
Golf Course irrigation experience is preferred, but not required

Other Requirements
Normal work hours are 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, however on some occasions it is necessary to work outside of normal hours to include weekends and holidays.
